Just some flip flops? Like these ones? Well... let's get you packed up and ready to go.  You'll miss me, won't you, Grammy? Some day I'm goin' with you, Grammy... some day...

while i'm gone...

while i'm gone, autumn will come to my yard. the blueberry bush will turn bright red. the leaves will fall off my sheltering tree...
the time for fires in the woodstove will come...
keeping my little home toasty warm.
while i'm gone, my tomatoes will continue to ripen, and maybe there will be some more little tomato loves...
while i'm gone, my pumpkins will ripen and get ready for halloween and harvest time in the valley...
while i'm gone, i'll trade one ocean for another...
which is always a blessing for me, to be on the shore of any ocean!
while i'm gone, my mountains will perhaps begin to gather their new coat of snow...

but i'm looking forward to seeing what happens elsewhere, while i'm gone.

three more days...

remembering the last trip... good times/hard times all rolled into one great experience.
some inviting cool water on a hot sweltering day...a not-so-inviting inhabitant of same water...
ahhhh... jungle boat cruise and way better than disney's!!
the just newly married brandon and nichole went with us last time.
oh yes, i'll miss my mountains!!! but think of all the things i'll gain!!!! three more days till we leave, driving the new wisdom van from bellingham to colorado, then on to costa rica. i'm so excited! aren't you? what things do you think God will do with you today? don't forget to WATCH FOR GOD! notice the great things He does. write them down so you have a record to remind you that God is awesome and loves us so very much.
