another day in costa rica...

so. dale decided to change his hair color. the wisdom girls were only too happy to oblige... what do you think? does it make him look younger?
laundry day... we follow the tile path to the clothesline yard....
we have a friend there today... beautiful, isn't he?
i'm sure he's communicating with his wings. but of course it's in spanish so i can't understand what he's saying...
we wash. we hang. we wait. will the clothes get dry before the daily rains come?
it's kind of a gamble but at least they are drier when they have to be gathered up in a huge hurry when the rain begins to fall. less time spent in the dryer, anyways. and they smell fresher!
i love the beauty of the clothesline yard... so many butterflies and flowers and spiky green plants...

this is the outdoor porch where the wisdom kids do school and we gringos do spanish classes. and yes, they DO need 2 trampolines!!!! one for the big kids, one for the small kids...
such beauty!!
all the plants look painted... God had fun painting costa rica...
this is the lively creek behind the house which swells every day when the rains come.
sometimes it gets so fast and so full, it actually rolls these boulders down the creek! which sounds like you are one BIG bowling alley! i think God gets strikes every time...
this is one proud rooster... he lords it over 7 hens, who dash for your door every time you open it! every once in awhile, the screen door gets left open and in they come. and leave lovely presents for everyone...
this is the small house where katie, dale and i currently reside. dale, the earlybird riser, does his daily devotions and most of his spanish studying out in this screened-in porch.

yes, i did bring some art supplies... i knew i'd want to create a little! what's in that mug? why, costa rican coffee, of course! sending our love out to all of you, and thanking you for your prayers! we need them daily!!! and know we are thinking of you all daily, also. have a wonderful, gratitude-filled day. aren't you glad we know WHO to thank?
